We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail in the dog house, which provided a beautiful and relaxing retreat. The hot tub was a big hit, offering the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was ideal, with short distances to Wrexham and Chester, as well as lovely rural towns for scenic walks. Everything we needed was provided, including a thoughtful hamper and delicious cider. The extra touches for my partner's birthday were truly appreciated.

The walk around the lodge to the decking and hot tub was a bit slippery, and we felt a little exposed walking outside in our swimsuits and dressing gowns. Also, having only a log burner for heating was a bit challenging, especially for our shivering dog.

Can't wait to go back!

We were welcomed with a cozy fire and chilled pate, such a lovely surprise. The lodge was even more beautiful than the pictures showed and the location was absolutely idyllic. We couldn't have asked for a better setting. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Our two little girls didn't want to leave, they even declared it as their "favorite day of their lives". And even though there was no TV or wifi, it didn't matter because there was so much to see and do, we wouldn't have switched on anyway.

The bed was smaller than what we're used to, but we were aware of that when we booked. Also, the bedroom had limited space for luggage.
